The Apartment 3 months later: Book Wall & Master Bedroom

Well, I made a promise and I have certainly tarried with the deliver of it, but now here it is. This post is part of a series on what we did to the apartment. View all the posts here. You remember the apartment when we moved in. And we spent the first two months really setting up shop. One of our very best friends moved to Austin shortly after we did, and was looking for a short term and affordable place to rent; the perfect answer was our second bedroom. So, our “formal dining” room became my new office, we always have our friend around and it’s worked out perfectly. On today’s edition of “The Apartment 3 Months Later” we are taking a look at the book wall (part two) and the whole master bedroom.

Book Wall? Yes, I did have this exact same look in our last apartment in Florida, but I can’t help myself. I did it again. My friend Brie can take you through the steps. She helped me with that first book wall, and I actually helped her with the one in her old room, but this one was all on me. So, two copies of Pride and Prejudice and at least 3 Jules Verne novels later, our walls were covered.

The opposite wall was painted Navy and I decided that painting a poem on a canvas that I randomly water colored with Josh after work one day, could pass for art. I love you, Robert Frost. Some new lamps and matching bedside tables from Target round out my mini master makeover. I’m one very happy girl.

Adora
