So a few weeks ago, my best friend flew all the way to Austin from San Fran to spend the last few hours of her birthday with me! (Also, you know, to visit me, see Austin, hang with the nieces & nephew, the usual reasons for a trip) Anyway, it was amazing. I can’t even express how right it felt to have my best friend in my city. If you didn’t already know I’m in a long term campaign to convince her to move here with her Husband once they start their family. I think this trip helped my cause. I had the best time, and promised Bri that I would return the favor and come visit her, which I am doing in 3 short weeks. Stay tuned for that! For now, just look how cute she is:
Today Josh and I pack up and head back to south Florida where my dearest friend is going to commit to the love of her life and we’re all going to drink and dance and celebrate love. I’m SO excited. Keep an eye on Bri’s blog for wedding pics and amazing posts about her new life in San Francisco!
I love love.
Congratulations to one of my best friends, Bri and her man on getting engaged last week! Let the happiness and DIY wedding planning begin! You can see how beautiful their babies are going to be…It is such a happiness when good people get together – and they always do. -Emma by Jane Austin
Briana made me dinner…and man it was good! This (sexist) song is for you, Brie!
So I took my own advice from yesterday. Watch out Linds, this letter’s coming for you!
P.S. This ADORABLE stationary is available at the Fred & Roger store on Etsy, click here to get some for yourself.
Briana April and I work at the same company, we’re also very close friends outside of the office. But when I call her at the office to talk about projects at work we both are in business mode and have very polite business conversations. The other day after such a phone call she emailed me and said “whenever we finish a phone conversation and say thank you to each other all formal like, I picture us like this” and sent me a link to this photo:
I couldn’t agree more.
We recently had our amazing friends the DeCarmo’s over for Saturday morning breakfast. The husbands decided to celebrate the occasion by drinking sparkling wine, and Liz took a panoramic photo of all the food. It was a great time, I tapped into my mom circa 2004 and made tater tots with italian seasoning instead of hash browns. They’re delicious.
My lovely Lindsay and Her Man, Brendan
Occasionally I stumble upon past G chats or Facebook messages between myself and a friend or Josh, that at the time were probably sincere, but now are just too funny.
Conversation with the beautiful Lindsay Lee Barta that took place on July 1st, 2011 over G chat:
Lindsay: I don’t even want to live in our world anymore because I love the Hunger Games trilogy so much.
Lindsay: I feel like I did when I was 14 and obsessed with NSYNC.
Me: I’m going to read it now, I can’t take it!
Lindsay: Good! I need someone to show internet memes that only I find hilarious to. (ignore the fact that I ended that with a preposition please)
I’m glad I read it.
The Hunger Games actually changed my literary life. This is so right on.
This is how we did the fourth of July up right. Crappy iPhone shots of an impromptu party that didn’t get planned until half way through the day!
